Tyler Stauts - Owner & Operator
With 18 years in the industry, Tyler is the visionary behind Stauts Building Co. His experience spans team leadership, custom home and commercial framing, and general construction. Tyler’s journey began in fire sprinkler systems, eventually progressing through foundations, framing, and a carpentry apprenticeship. Over time, he transitioned from small patio builds to large-scale custom homes and commercial framing projects.
Tyler is driven by purpose, passion, and a strong belief in people. He brings empathy, leadership, and a focus on culture and character development to every project. His commitment to building not just structures, but belief and confidence within his team, is what sets him apart.
Outside of work, Tyler enjoys quality time with his two sons, staying active, and prioritizing health, nutrition, and meaningful experiences with loved ones.
Luke Scott - Co Owner & Production
With over a decade of experience in the construction industry, Luke brings a strong foundation in residential framing, custom home building, and roof framing. His career began in commercial construction, where he contributed to large-scale hospital projects across the Sacramento region as part of a management team. However, his passion for hands-on carpentry eventually led him into the field full-time.
Luke is known for his deep construction knowledge, sharp problem-solving abilities, and relentless work ethic. He thrives on the camaraderie shared with his team, through both victories and challenges, and finds fulfillment in continuous learning across all trades.
When he’s not on-site, Luke enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter, embracing the same dedication and care he brings to his craft.
Steve Chilton - Co Owner & Production
Steven has 10 years of hands-on construction experience, specializing in residential framing, custom home building, and project management. His passion for building was sparked at a young age while working alongside his father, a general contractor. Though he explored other paths after high school, Steven ultimately returned to construction, where he discovered his true calling.
Steven brings dedication, loyalty, clear communication, and creative problem-solving to Stauts Building Co. He takes pride in transforming a bare lot into a beautifully framed home and finds joy in watching daily progress unfold, like solving a complex puzzle, one piece at a time.
When the workday ends, Steven’s focus shifts to his greatest motivation: his wife and two boys. He works hard not only for the success of the company but to provide a meaningful life for his family.
